Food Smart Cities for Development

The City of Marseilles has a long-standing experience in water management recognized at international level (the city is home to the World Water Council), therefore it decided to provide its contribution towards the key-role of water within the food system, by carrying out an assessment on the local situation.

Being part of the FSC4D project is a good opportunity to increase local awareness on the importance of setting up a sustainable food strategy. By signing the Milan Urban Food Pact, Marseille further commit to develop a sustainable food system.
